PROGRAM FOR ACADEMIC SUCCESS:
The Program for Academic Success (PAS) at The Storm King School is a rapid-response mechanism designed to intervene in the event that a student has a specific academic problem or needs across-the-board academic supervision.
Composed of a team of educators, the PAS Committee meets regularly to review students who are having academic difficulty. The PAS Committee develops an individualized "Plan for Success" for each student.
The "Plan for Success" may include:
Assigning and managing supervised study halls
Assigning and managing tutorial programs
Coordinating "Plans for Success" among academic departments
Implementing support programs as identified by The Learning Center
Arranging outside counseling
The PAS Committee ensures that SKS students have the individualized attention they need to succeed. And the PAS Committee celebrates their successes, too.
