Financial Aid:

To ensure the enrollment of a diverse and exciting student body, the SKS Financial Assistance Program offers need-based aid and/or merit awards to qualified students.

Endowment funds, foundation grants, bequests, annual giving and tuition provide funding for financial assistance at Storm King. The amount of financial assistance awarded by the school depends on the availability of funds in a given year.
  • The aid process begins in April and continues on a rolling basis. New enrollments apply during the admissions process. The amount of aid is determined in part by the financial need of the family.
  • The parents of each applicant are required to submit detailed financial statements. The assets of both parents are considered, even when parents are divorced or separated.
  • Financial aid is reevaluated each year. Financial aid applications must be fully updated annually.
  • Completed applications are reviewed in the order that they were received. Enrolled students currently benefiting from financial assistance are reviewed as a group before new applicants are considered.
  • Continuation of aid may be tied to a student's status; members of the Storm King community in good standing receive priority.
In addition to the SKS Financial Assistance Program, the Admissions Office has information available regarding Student Loans from a variety of lending institutions. Rates and liberal payback periods provide parents with more options to pay for their child's education.

Important Information: Financial Aid decisions are made independently from admissions decisions. All financial information supplied to the school is held in the strictest confidence.

Families who feel they may qualify for assistance are encouraged to apply. Please contact the Admissions Office at (845) 534-9860 for further details.
