The Storm King School is proud of its diverse programs, small class sizes, dedicated faculty, and flexible learning resources. Preparing students for college is the foundation of our success, but that's just part of the SKS story. We are committed to providing a well-rounded, engaging learning experience for all our students. From performing in Steel Magnolias to scoring a championship goal to working in the community greenhouse, SKS encourages students to achieve more than they thought possible.

Because SKS understands that students have different learning styles, our faculty is trained to identify and assist students through individualized, differentiated instruction. The Learning Center, a supportive resource for the classroom, and the Mountain Center, a school-within-in-a-school, were designed to empower students to discover and to reach their academic potentials. Our Middle School, a self-contained experiential-based 8th grade program, prepares students for the demands of high school, while our English as a Second Language program strengthens understanding of English communication skills and enhances knowledge of American culture.

The SKS academic core is complemented by our renowned offerings in the Arts and by our vibrant Athletics program. Opportunities to train in theater, dance, music arts and visual arts attract many students to Storm King, while our athletic activities continue to expand and grow. They include the recent addition of Varsity Girls Soccer, JV Girls Basketball, and Girls Softball.
