Introduction to Video Production I
This course introduces the basics of video production using a personal camcorder and video editing equipment. Students study video technologies, basic equipment operation, video composition, basic lighting and audio production planning, and visual storytelling. Students create video projects using post-production editing.

Video Studio Production I
In a video production studio setting, students learn studio production planning, lighting, and audio along with basic video engineering. Students practice all crew positions including floor director, camera operator, lighting technician, audio technician, technical director, and program director.

Introduction to Video Editing I
This course covers computer-based video editing technologies using computer editing software Finalcut Pro and Adobe Premier. Topics include creation of digital video productions for inclusion in multimedia and web applications such as QuickTime.

Video Field Production I
In a field setting, using fundamental editing techniques, students practice field lighting and audio, production planning, script writing, and storyboarding. Students create professional-quality video productions.  

Script Writing I
In this course, students develop themes within a plot using structure to define the story.  They learn to create memorable characters for a video short story and establish story lines for comedy, drama, music video and other genres.
