Student-Directed Winter One-Act Plays: February 24, 25 & 26

Rehearsals are well underway for the second annual student-directed Winter One-Acts. Twenty-five students auditioned for roles in seven plays.  Five of the plays are by established playwrights:  Barbie World by Debbie Lamedman, The Best Daddy by Shel Silverstein, It's Not You by Craig Pospisil, and For Whom the Southern Belle Tolls and Kitty the Waitress by Christopher Durang.  There are also two original plays by Storm King students included in the show: Boarded Up by eighth-grader Livi P. and Diner Crazy by ninth-grader Evan E. Storm King Celebrates Lunar New Year

A world away from the actual Lunar New Year celebrations in China, Korea, Taiwan, and Vietnam, Storm King students, native to these countries, shared their traditions with faculty and fellow students. Alumni Basketball Tradition Revived

The Storm King School welcomed 20 alumni back to campus January 7th and 8th for an Alumni Basketball Weekend - the first in 20 years! Alumni, ranging in class years from 1972 to 2010, returned to take on Storm King's Varsity Basketball Team for the "King of the Mountain" title. READ MORE

Art Department Expands Digital Art Lab

The Storm King School Art Department has expanded to include a new digital art lab thanks, in part, to a generous gift by Trustee Roger D. Auerbacher '66. The new lab features nine computer stations equipped with Adobe Photoshop, an overhead projector for demonstrations, scanners, and digital cameras. READ MORE

Chairman of the Board Peter Duggan Retires

Peter Duggan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees since 2002, retired on January 1st.  Head of School Helen "Steevie" Chinitz and the newly appointed Chairman of the Board Michael Brower '63 honored Peter and his wife, Mary Vance, in an all-school gathering on Thursday, December 15th. READ MORE

The Storm King School Announces New Head

The Storm King School is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul C.
