History Chair and Student Government Advisor Jonathan Meisel announced the winners of Tuesday’s Provisional Government election at the holiday formal dinner. The SKS community elected Lily S. President, Dwight R.H. Vice President and Kara K. Secretary. There are also 25 self-nominated representatives. Under the direction of Mr. Meisel, the Provisional Government will work towards establishing a constitution and governing system for the School. READ MORE

Head of School Helen “Steevie” Chinitz joined forces with a group of students and teachers to do a little community outreach this holiday season. Over the course of a few nights, students Dominique D., Johnathan F., Alexa H., Nicholas Q. and John S. gathered at Spy Rock to assemble and wrap (that is, properly wrap with help from Alexa) about 50 packages containing small gifts and scarves. Classes resumed Tuesday, November 30th, after a restful Thanksgiving Break. With renewed strength, students and teachers are buckling down for the final stretch of the semester. As Mr. Lewis noted in the last all-school meeting, as of Tuesday there were only eight class days left before semester exams, which begin December 10th. There is much studying to be done before students are off to enjoy their three-week Holiday Break. READ MORE
