Class of 2010 Graduates!
The Storm King School’s 142nd Commencement took place in the Walter Reade, Jr. Theatre on Saturday, June 5, 2010. The threat of rain drove the celebration inside, but that did not dampen the excitement for the graduates and their families. The Theatre served as an intimate backdrop for the special day. Dr. Leslie H. McLean, SKS Development Consultant and former faculty member, delivered the commencement address to the 38 graduates. READ MORE

Students Honored at Academic Awards Night 2010
The Academic Awards Night is one of many celebratory year-end traditions at The Storm King School. It is a time for teachers to reflect on the year, celebrate the triumphs, and recognize the outstanding accomplishments of our hard working student body. Teachers were asked to select a book for each of their award recipients, something significant to their area of study or something they felt the recipients would enjoy. In addition, special recognition was paid to the senior class because 100% of seniors were accepted into at least one college. Congratulations to all award recipients on an exceptional year. Senior Service 2010
Senior Service, a beloved tradition and rite of passage for Storm King seniors, took place on the eve of Graduation. Parents, faculty, and underclassmen gathered, with tissues in hand, to watch as the class of 2010 bid farewell to the mountain they have called home for the last two, three, four, five, or even six years. Students Honored at Performing and Fine Arts Awards Ceremony
A Storm King year-end tradition has been to recognize those students who have excelled in academics, including the performing and fine arts. The Performing and Fine Arts Awards Ceremony was held in the Walter Reade, Jr. Theatre on Thursday, May 27th. One student from each course received a book award: a book hand-picked by the teacher. In addition, teachers gave a sprinkling of other awards and everyone enjoyed the musical talents of Mr. Martin Smith, Hsiang Ning “Crystal” H., You-Jin Y., Eun Jong N., Siyin “Sisi” Q., Sichen “Chandler” Z., Dwight R., and Jiaying “Katrina” W. Theatre Performance: Once Upon a Mattress
The Storm King School Department of Performing Arts in association with Canterbury Theatre Ensemble just wrapped up its production of Once Upon a Mattress, directed by Harold Heno, music directed by Jason Furman, and choreographed by Cindi Parise.
