Although the SKS community loves being On The Mountain, we need to move around a bit, too! Whether it’s personal supplies our students need to purchase—or just a change of scenery—we regularly schedule weekend trips to the Palisades Mall, the Woodbury Commons Outlet Center, and evenings at the local movie theatres. Shorter runs to Target and Wal-Mart are also part of our standard weekend fare.

Our Activities Coordinator also regularly schedules special trips to the Asian Food Markets, ski hills, paint-balling arenas, and even horseback riding.

Our faculty take full-advantage of our close proximity to New York City and organize student outings to museums, plays, sporting events and concerts. Over longer school breaks, students often opt to accompany faculty on school trips to destinations in the US, Europe and South America.

Students sign-up for weekend activities during meals on a first-come, first-serve basis. Any trip or activity costing more than $60 requires a parent's or guardian's permission.
