Residential life at The Storm King School complements our inclusive approach to adolescent development. The dorms provide a safe, secure and nurturing environment—and they're a lot of fun, too!

Whether it's crowding around the TV to watch a movie, keeping the room tidy, or asking a friend for help on a science poster, the real-life experiences in the dorms help students develop tolerance, respect, and independence.

Students are not expected to enter into this stage of growth or development alone. Dorm parents and student resident advisors live in each dormitory.

Our staff works diligently to ensure the safety and comfort of SKS residential students. They provide mentoring, advising, conflict resolution, daily guidance, weekly discussions, oversight, and education. Our dorm parents and residential advisors enjoy their work, and they are committed to making the dorm experience a happy one that provides opportunities for growth for each member of our community.
